There was recently a closed thread about Evolution made by an atheist in the "Islamic Discussion" section of this site and there is another thread in another section started by another user about the same subject. It is evident that the members on this site are many teenagers and few of the adults possess a diploma in Biological Studies. The moderators should close these types of threads and not allow debates about Evolution, especially the thread made by the atheist in the "Islamic Discussion" should be completely deleted and removed from the site because there are numerous false claims made by the atheist. This has the effect of misleading the young teenagers whose minds are developing and susceptible to various ideologies and misleading adults that honestly do not possess any in depth knowledge of the Evolutionary theory. These threads should only be allowed if there are users that have a vast knowledge of evolution, so they can respond appropriately, or else false claims will be made and taken as truth by the ignorant. I possess a degree in Biological Studies, but I do not have the time to sit and respond exhaustively to the false claims and over-simplifications made by the ignorant.
People who believe in evolution can be divided into two categories: the common person who believes because he is ignorant and goes with the flow, and the second type are the intellectuals who believe because they think there is nothing better to explain the existence of humans.
The first type of people exist largely on this site, making claims such as "there are tons of evidence to prove evolution" and so on. They do not know that the so-called evidence largely includes "similarities found among different organisms." The evolutionist looks at these similarities and concludes that this is "proof" of common ancestry. It is just as simple for a creationist to claim it points to the existence of one Creator, copying a common design among the different organisms. For example, placing wheels on a bicycle to make it move forward and applying the same concept to the more complex car. These ignorant people have not attended university studies in Biological Sciences. When I attended university as an undergraduate, majoring in Biological Sciences, the Biology department would not allow the students to take the "Evolution" course until they had completed "Biology I/II," "Animal Biology," "Genetics," and so on. This is because the theory of evolution is difficult to grasp and requires exhaustive studies, especially in Genetics to comprehend it.
The second type of people that believe in evolution are some intellectuals. The intellectual group may be divided into two: biologists that have knowledge of evolution, and non-biologists who are politicians, professors, etc, who believe in evolution because they think the evolutionist biologist is correct out of blind faith, but no real understanding themselves.
The evolutionary biologists can be divided into two sub-groups. The one we are concerned with are the famous evolutionary biologists that speak for evolution. We are not concerned with the second group that are merely those that possess a biology degree, but believe in evolution because they are intimidated by the first group of evolutionary biologists. The evolutionary biologists in modern times are already aware that there are many loop-holes in the theory of evolution. Firstly, they still have been unable to explain how a living being came from non-existent and dead matter. They always begin the story of evolution from the existence of a molecule or single cell. For example, a famous evolutionary biologist named Jerry Coyne recently wrote a book about evolution and defined evolution in the following manner, "It [evolution] can be summarized in a single (albeit slightly long) sentence: Life on earth evolved gradually beginning with one primitive species—perhaps a self-replicating molecule..." Notice how he starts evolution with the existence of something, a molecule. He purposefully excludes the origins of life, how a lifeless Earth produced the first living thing, including a molecule. The atheist user in his post in the "Islamic discussion" section wrote about the process of "abiogenesis" giving rise to living matter. This is a total falsehood which educated evolutionary biologists do not accept among themselves. This is the reason why Jerry Coyne refused to talk about it in his book and completely avoided the explanation of how dead and lifeless matter would see it as an advantage to become living. These types of over-simplifications are simply fed to ignorant persons because it is believed that they will become so overwhelmed by the terminology and complexity of the explanation, that they will simply sit and nod their head, accepting everything due to their total ignorance.
Evolutionary biologists believe in evolution because they hope one day they may be able to find some evidence that proves that the creation came about without a Creator, evidence which they currently have not found. Many of them come from being raised in white christian families in the western part of the world. And as one user put it to the atheist, if he had been born into a christian family, he too would have eventually become an atheist. This is due to the senseless nature of christian theology, no well educated person would accept such a religion. Anyone that has knowledge of Greek and Roman mythology would easily see the connection between it and christian theology and traditions. This has been the case with these evolutionary biologists. They are indeed well-educated and intelligent, they have already made the connection between the stories of myth and christianity. They believe in evolution because they disbelieve in the religion of the "white man," and western world, christianity. This is the way it is in their minds. They are white men, from the west, therefore their religion, christianity should be correct, if it is not, then there is no right religion. Islam is not even given consideration from any thorough study, simply because it is a "foreign" religion in their minds with "weird" rituals and dress codes. It is also the case because of their secular education that many of them have become so cynical that their hearts have completely hardened against the truth. Many of them at an older age, beyond their teenage years, began to view religion as "childish." What are they amazed by, let them look into themselves. Most of mankind are simple-minded and vain, including themselves, each man chasing after trivial vanities in this life, trying to make a name for himself, "childish" in mindset. Trivial vanities among their people including: how many persons they can sleep with, getting drunk out of their minds simply for the sake of it, or desiring to have their names placed in a biology book so they can feel they have accomplished something, etc. They do not even attempt to understand Islam by even reading the Qur'an. No wise man can ever deny the truth of Islam after an extensive and exhaustive study.
Now as far as the non-biologist intellectuals are concerned. They believe in evolution because they have been duped to think it is the "smart" thing to due, although they themselves do not nearly possess the same amount of knowledge as an evolutionary biologist. They also suffer from some of the same contempt for religion as evolutionary biologists, having the same type of ideas and ignorance concerning religion.
