Like what Umar ibn Al-Khattab r.a the companion of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w did. He wore only one shirt. He would only eat what the poorest of people would eat. The people were forced by Umar ibn Al-Khattab to live a humble, modest and just life. The people (no matter how high their ranks are), was not even allowed to eat such kind of a food that is unaffordable by ordinary people without him knowing and punishing them. SubhanAllah.
