View Full Version : Muslim Girl Not Allowed in School Because of Hijab

http://www.turntoislam.com/images/tti/muslim_school_girl.jpgA Muslim Girl Was Not Allowed to attend School Because of her Hijab. They did not allow her to join the school because she wore the hijab, headscarf. Keep in mind that girls and boys from other faiths are allowed into schools, because it is seen as something to do with their faith. For example, Jewish skullcaps, and Sikh Turbans.
Many of those who support the exclusions in the name of women's rights forget how strongly women are oppressed in our own society. The Western world, so we are told, is 'progressive' and 'advanced'--the position of women is a good one and can be offered as a model for 'backward' Muslims. Must we recall how deeply sexist 'our' society is? In France the average wage of men is 25 percent higher than women's in comparable jobs; 85 percent of part time jobs are worked by women; women in relationships do 98 percent of the cleaning, 96 percent of household chores and 80 percent of the shopping; just 12 percent of French MPs are women.

I'm from djibouti it is a small country but i live in england
and where I live there is not problem but in france there is.
the only reason they doing it is that they want us to convert to chirstain or other faith because they believe that we(muslims) are terrorists and we like to kill peoples and peoples from other faiths.
So brother and sisters keep you faith(islam) and pray for Allah every night or time because only Allah(swt) can make different not other person.
may Allah(swt) bless you and make your dream come true and may Allah(swt) bless all palestinain have die and may Allah(swt) put them(muslims) in jannah incha allah

Same in Turkey
You can't go to university with your hijab, you have to take it off even before entering the campus... so my poor sisters have to either remove their headscarves or wear wigs, which of course looks extremely unnatural, or not go to university at all...Anyway, I'm proud of them for whatever they choose to do for the favor of Allah...

in england there is no such nothing like this.
However, let it remenber that we are the one who came to their (disbelievers) countries and there are rights because it is they homes, is their rights and their rules so they forcing us to follow their rules or to go back to your what ever you cAME FROM.
I'm not saying is right of what they are doing now but what i am trying to say is that it is our fault and we should leaves.
There is only two reasons to stay in a disbelievers country.
First one, is going for learning, educations, high schools, universities,or for jobs
Second one, is that for getting better like going for hospitals, or going for teaching is Islam
I heard from a hadisth is saying a muslim/ muslimah should never live in a country that is not a Muslims sountries because he/she might get married and their children could take another religious or their might loose their faith and become something else that no one else could imagine

At my Daughter's School Musilm girls wearing the head scarf have no problems. However they are required to wear the school uniform as well.
The reasoning behind the uniform decision is based on Identity. It allows the staff to identify who is, and who is not, a Student.
The motivation being that, in the past, non students have entered the school grounds for the purpose of Theft and the Sale or Distribution of illicit substances among students.
The school is progressive, providing facilities for the 32 different cultures and nationalities that attend.
Soon it will become the first non Muslim school in my State to introduce a Muslim religious instructor as an adjunct to the current Christian Scripture Classes.

Salam alaikum wa rahmatullah!
People in Kosovo, don't approve of wearing Hijab; there's prejudice along with it. And also because the country isn't religous through and through. Most people think only imams are supposed to follow Islam from top to bottom, and the rest can do what ever they feel like it.
"Being devout is something old people do" maybe becaue old people don't work any more. To Round it up, Kosovo is a secular country. Religion is something private and work, school is something entirely different. I think the very same attitude is in various countries. We Kosovars are very proud of our who we are, which leads to us forgeting who God is.
Alhamdulilah that Allah chose made me pious. Inshallah, All people canhelp to remind all muslims to worship Allah (subhana wa ta a'la) who gave us Billionaire without realizing it. Who are you gonna thank?
Hijab is a very beautiful thing, a sign of piety, which Allah (subhana wa ta a'la) wants from our sister and mothers. Lets encourage them.
Salam Alaikum wa rahmatullah!

But France together with other developed countries are suppose to be champions of democracy, human rights, women rights, rights to choose own faith, freedom of speech or whatever they called it. But here they are preventing muslim student to enter school with hijab? This is an insult to public intellegent.
"in some Islamic countries women are not allowed to go to school at all (or if they do attend, are in danger of being attacked".
Referring to Taliban? I don't know any Islamic countries doing this.
But one thing for sure there is no single verse in the Quran, no single sayings of the Prophet that prevented women from seeking education in fact the Prophet said in one hadith "seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave". Never mentioned "men only".
Women in my country not only can go to school but they can also drive not only car they can even fly aeroplanes if they want.

Hmm, the question I would have is whether or not in an Islamic country, a non-muslim girl would be allowed into school WITHOUT hijab. .
In my Islamic country (Syria) MUSLIM girls ARE ALLOWED to attend school even WITHOUT hijab!!!... let alone non-muslim girls.
As a matter of fact, in some Islamic countries women are not allowed to go to school at all (or if they do attend, are in danger of being attacked..
For real??? Which country is that?? Please provide "credible" references.
Which I guess goes to show that people are stupid everywhere in the world, no matter who they are and what they do..
Now that's a true fact for once!!!
Hmm, the question I would have is whether or not in an Islamic country, a non-muslim girl would be allowed into school WITHOUT hijab. .
Hmm, the question I would have is why would Christian countries such as the US allow prostitution in wide scale right in the open with no reservation at values or morals... But... Since you're a big supporter to the idea that girls go naked out in public in your Christian country, I guess prostitution is also Okay in your book ????... Afterall it's freedom; correct?? ... Just curious....

Its so sad to hear stuff like this especially in this day and age. It is nice living in Canada because there are so many different cultures and I think people are a little more open. I went to school with people from many religions, most were Muslims. The woman were allowed to wear their hijabs without any hassle. I even had a teacher who wore a hijab. Inshallah things will change all over the world.

Salam,
I am sorry to hear about how some countries do not let muslims practise their Deen proper. It is a reminder to me to stop complaining about my own country, so be it not an Islamic state but people can still prance about in their hijab as they wish. Nikaab even, although it is rare. In sha Allaah in the near future.
I respect sisters who have difficulty in donning the hijaab. I will keep you in my du'a in sha Allaah. May Allaah reward all of you beautiful sisters with the highest level of Jannah. Ma sha Allaah, so beautiful are all you sisters with firm eeman.

This situation seems to be an obvious violation of rights whether or not these rights are formally codified in the countries in question. I figured I would post an interesting video I found on this same topic that is a little longer and goes a little more in depth. Hope you all enjoy and benefit insha Allah.
I couldnt post the url because I dont have 15 posts yet but all you have to do is go to hulu.com and search for "Wide Angle: Young, Muslim, and French".

The sad thing is that most people in the West have gotten completely the wrong impression of what the hijab means and so they see it not as a sign of freedom but as a shackle of oppression.
So much for progressive society.

I'm not sure what this 'Jilbab' is. If it is a veil that covers the eyes, I can see why any school would not permit it. It would impair the vision and be a safety issue.
No, jilbab is simply a more covering hijab over the shoulders and chest sometimes reaching the hands too.

I have never heard of a case in Sweden like that, to forbid them to wear hijab. The only thing happened is that a school for adults (not kids) forbid the women who had niqab to wear it at school. The Muslim women reported the school for it and it was on the news, but I don't know how it went. They said otherwise they have to agree the niqab or they will quit school, that was their opinion. But as I said, they were adults and had easier to make this decision.

I am in tears laughing at this. Like its a piece of cloth nothing more. Like, jeez, get you're priorities straight, what is more important, you're childs education or whether or not you're child can wear a *!*!*!*!ing scarf. The audacity of these people....
:salam2: and hi to all
many ppl donīt understand the meaning of hijab for us muslims. they consider it as just a piece of cloth or even a ploitical symbol. but it is more than that! we donīt wear hijab out of fun. it is a command of Allah. the command of the one we truely believe in and truely love and truely obey. with abondining hijab we donīt just abondon a piece of cloth, we disobey Allah!

That's one of the smarter things I have read in a while.
That is true of both France AND some Muslim countries. France is acting like a baby and throwing a tantrum because they DON'T want girls to wear a peice of cloth. A lot of Muslim countries act just the same, and have a 'big deal' over a peice of cloth, but for the opposite reason, because they want to FORCE girls to wear the cloth.

Tacoscent: That is rather rude. You make ME look polite. As you may have surmised from my posts, I am not a Muslim and disagree with much of what they believe. I personally think that much of what they believe is extremely misguided and confused. Which is not their fault. I think they need to be helped to understand things better.
But I fail to see what your extreme rudeness will accomplish. I am sometimes guilty of being ruder than I should be when I get very frustrated, but being rude all of the time will not accomplish anything. People will not listen to what you say if you are rude 100% of the time, they will just stop up their ears against you.
Hello Neongrammarian,
so above you have said that we are misguided and you are here on this web site to " guide us to better things"
I think now it is time that we don't play your games with you as you are not intrested in learning our religion , only to teach us "how wrong we are", I am afraid you are wasting our and your time, but if you really want to learn , I hope Allah ta'laa will guide you and at least take the time to actually learn what we do belive in before telling us how " wrong we are".

Ayman1: Well, you think your views are right, and I think my views are right. I'd say that makes the both of us an awful lot alike. :-D
hi neongrammarian,
no you are not alike. I think you are christian....?
all religions claim to be right but only one can be the true religon otherwise they would not have contradictions they would all teach the same. how can
one find out which religion is the true one/from God....?
the one wich contains no contradictions within its teachings.
the one wich kept its pureness/not changed by man.
the one wich contains guidelines for every aspect of life.
the one wich contains no shirk (idolatry)
and this religion is Islam only.
we have in our hand a book wich is for sure from Allah Subhanallahu Teala
Himself. if it would be written by a man then there would be wrongs in it and it would not contain so much knowledge and miracles.
the christians believe that a part of God become human just to come to the world and die for the sins of the believers. but if the God you believe in is a forgiving and mercifull God, like we the muslims believe He is, then why it is necessary for Him to split a part of Him just to be killed in a brutal way for your sins...

Ms. neongrammarian perhaps by now you would be well aware of our basic belief. Let me tell you again pls
OUR BELIEF.
We Muslims believe that Allah is the creator of heavens and earth and everything in between. He has sent messengers for the guidance of mankind. He has also revealed books to his messengers. Quran is the final revelation of Allah (Who is the creator of universe) and Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was his final messenger.
Given the fact that Allah is the only creator, HE is the sole legislator. So we submit ourselves to HIM completely. Our source of guidance is Quran and example of our Prophet
We are 100% certain of our belief.
YOUR BELIEF
You believe that God does not exist (I am absolutely unable to understand how do you justify your own existence) and at the same time you DO NOT dismiss the possibility that God does exist.
IMPLIES
That you are NOT SURE of your own belief and you are definitely confused
Even if you are certain of your belief, then what is your source of guidance on the basis of which you consider US MUSLIMS misguided and confused???
PLS BRING YOUR PROOF IF YOU ARE TRUTHFUL!!!
"He is ((Allah)) Most Gracious: We have believed in Him, and on Him have we put our trust: So, soon will ye know which (of us) it is that is in manifest error."

Blessed be He in Whose hands is Dominion; and He over all things hath Power;-
He Who created Death and Life, that He may try which of you is best in deed: and He is the Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving;-
He Who created the seven heavens one above another: No want of proportion wilt thou see in the Creation of ((Allah)) Most Gracious. So turn thy vision again: seest thou any flaw?
Again turn thy vision a second time: (thy) vision will come back to thee dull and discomfited, in a state worn out.
And we have, (from of old), adorned the lowest heaven with Lamps, and We have made such (Lamps) (as) missiles to drive away the Evil Ones, and have prepared for them the Penalty of the Blazing Fire.
For those who reject their Lord (and Cherisher) is the Penalty of Hell: and evil is (such), Destination.
When they are cast therein, they will hear the (terrible) drawing in of its breath even as it blazes forth,
Almost bursting with fury: Every time a Group is cast therein, its Keepers will ask, "Did no Warner come to you?"
They will say: "Yes indeed; a Warner did come to us, but we rejected him and said, '(Allah) never sent down any (Message): ye are nothing but an egregious delusion!'"
They will further say: "Had we but listened or used our intelligence, we should not (now) be among the Companions of the Blazing Fire!"
They will then confess their sins: but far will be (Forgiveness) from the Companions of the Blazing Fire!
As for those who fear their Lord unseen, for them is Forgiveness and a great Reward.
And whether ye hide your word or publish it, He certainly has (full) knowledge, of the secrets of (all) hearts.
------------------------------------------------------------
Doth not man see that it is We Who created him from sperm? yet behold! he (stands forth) as an open adversary!
And he makes comparisons for Us, and forgets his own (origin and) Creation: He says, "Who can give life to (dry) bones and decomposed ones (at that)?"
Say, "He will give them life Who created them for the first time! for He is Well-versed in every kind of creation!-
"The same Who produces for you fire out of the green tree, when behold! ye kindle therewith (your own fires)!
"Is not He Who created the heavens and the earth able to create the like thereof?" - Yea, indeed! for He is the Creator Supreme, of skill and knowledge (infinite)!
Verily, when He intends a thing, His Command is, "be", and it is! So glory to Him in Whose hands is the dominion of all things: and to Him will ye be all brought back.

my cousins nd i have experienced such situations in school, airport, streets. Muslim women will keep being offended nd opposed by non muslims (it's natural that muslims have always been pricked since prophet Mohammad's days; they know its the right way, but deny it out of pride)
Anyway dear sister, let nothing of that come in ur way to wear hijab.
