I am sorry but why does everyone keep saying it's Eid. Last I heard were still in ramadan.

I don't see what "everybody saying it's Eid" has got to do with this thread and the sisters request??? It was `Eid when she wrote it so your comment is pointless.
To Samantha, perhaps you could right the du`aa/prayer that we say to one another at the end of Ramadaan/`Eid...
تقبل الله مني ومنكم
Taqabbala Allâhu minnâ waminkum
"May Allaah accept [our fasts, prayers, deeds] from us and you"
And since it's now `Eid, let me say `Eid Mubârak and Taqabbala Allâhu minnâ waminkum.

Islam teaches us that our true joy is that when we obey Allah sobhanahu wa taala our creator , meang of (Taqabbal Allahu minna wa minka) is ( may Allah accept from us our good deeds) : this is the true joy for a muslem when Allah his creator accept his fasting and prayers and the good he/she does.
(The Eid Al-Fitr is really a celebration that we were able to pass the test of Ramadan – that we submitted to our Lord, followed his commandments, even if difficult, gaining his mercy Insha’Allah. We realized during the days of Ramadan that the greatest pain is from a heart that is empty and preoccupied. We strove to rectify that – as we stood during the nights seeking Allah’s mercy, begging him for forgiveness.
Generally Muslims take joy in having held to the commandments of Allah and obeyed him with sincere obedience. ) copied.
may Allah accept our the good we do and forgive us our mistakes.
