"The project is part of the Qatar Charity’s plans that focus on culture and education in view of the mosques particular importance as places for dissemination of religious awareness and education," the peninsulaqatar said.

Qatar Charity’s Representative in Kosovo Mahmoud Abbas Hussein told the report in a press statement that "the mosque which was built on an area of 800 square meters, in Pristina consists of three floors and has a capacity of 9000 persons and includes classes to teach the Holy Quran and the Arabic language."

He noted that this project is one of the outstanding achievements of the Qatar Charity in 2009 in different fields, which benefited about 40 thousand people.

“The achievements of those concentrated in the areas of orphans, income-generating projects and seasonal projects in partnership with the Kosovo’’s Social Association (Maqboula)," he said.
