I tried to post it on other forums(non-muslim) but it seems there is no freedom of speech *rolls eyes*
In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
All praise is due only to Allaah. We laud Him and beseech His aid
and beg forgiveness only from Him and believe in Him and rely
solely on Him. We seek salvation in Him from the evils of our inner
selves and the vices of our actions. There is none to misguide one
whom Allaah intends to guide. I bear witness that there is no one
worthy of worship but Allaah, the One who has no partner. I also
testify that Hadhrat Muhammad (May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him and his family) is the faithful servant and the Last
Rasul of Allaah. May Allaah Ta’ala’s mercy be on him, his family
and his Sahabaah and may He bless them and raise their status.
To the Romans,
We have been fighting you since a thousand years,we are still fighting you and as prophecised will fight you along with jews in future when you will be with the jews under the leadership of Masih addajjal(The chief deceiver or the false Messiah).
Muslim :: Book 41 : Hadith 6924
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The Last Hour would not come until the Romans would land at al-A'maq or in Dabiq. An army consisting of the best (soldiers) of the people of the earth at that time will come from Medina (to counteract them). When they will arrange themselves in ranks, the Romans would say: Do not stand between us and those (Muslims) who took prisoners from amongst us. Let us fight with them; and the Muslims would say: Nay, by Allah, we would never get aside from you and from our brethren that you may fight them. They will then fight and a third (part) of the army would run away, whom Allah will never forgive. A third (part of the army). which would be constituted of excellent martyrs in Allah's eye, would be killed ani the third who would never be put to trial would win and they would be conquerors of Constantinople. And as they would be busy in distributing the spoils of war (amongst themselves) after hanging their swords by the olive trees, the Satan would cry: The Dajjal has taken your place among your family. They would then come out, but it would be of no avail. And when they would come to Syria, he would come out while they would be still preparing themselves for battle drawing up the ranks. Certainly, the time of prayer shall come and then Jesus (peace be upon him) son of Mary would descend and would lead them in prayer. When the enemy of Allah would see him, it would (disappear) just as the salt dissolves itself in water and if he (Jesus) were not to confront them at all, even then it would dissolve completely, but Allah would kill them by his hand and he would show them their blood on his lance (the lance of Jesus Christ).
So we will always be enemies.
However,some of you are close to us in terms of faith and belief in God.
Muslim :: Book 41 : Hadith 6925
Mustaurid al-Qurashi reported: I heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The Last Hour would come (when) the Romans would form a majority amongst people. 'Amr said to him (Mustaurid Qurashi): See what you are saying? He said: I say what I heard from Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him). Thereupon he said: If you say that, it is a fact for they have four qualities. They have the patience to undergo a trial and immediately restore themselves to sanity after trouble and attack again after flight. They (have the quality) of being good to the destitute and the orphans, to the weak and, fifthly, the good quality in them is that they put resistance against the oppression of kings.
Also when there was a battle between states of Byzantine and Persia,the Muslims supported the Romans because of their being near to them in faith in One God while the pagans considered themselves being near to Persians’(because of their being fire worshippers).At first the Romans lost at the hands of Persians so the pagan Arabs taunted Muslims then Allah revealed the following verses::
Alif, Lam, Meem.
The Romans have been defeated.
In the nearer land (Syria, Iraq, Jordan, and Palestine), and they, after their defeat, will be victorious.
Within three to nine years. The decision of the matter, before and after (these events) is only with Allah, (before the defeat of Romans by the Persians, and after, i.e. the defeat of the Persians by the Romans). And on that Day, the believers (i.e. Muslims) will rejoice (at the victory given by Allah to the Romans against the Persians),
With the help of Allah, He helps whom He wills, and He is the AllMighty, the Most Merciful.
With the help of Allah. He helps whom He will, and He is exalted in might, most merciful.
(It is) a Promise of Allah (i.e. Allah will give victory to the Romans against the Persians), and Allah fails not in His Promise, but most of men know not.
(Surah Ar-Rum 30:1-6)
And almost three years after their defeat the Romans won .The believers that is Muslims rejoiced,not because of the victory of Romans but because the very day the news of Romans’ victory reached arab Muslims had won the battle of Badr an army of almost 313 muslims against 1300 pagans,so the word of Allah was fulfilled.
I now invite you to a common point that is between you and us::
"Say (O Muhammad [pbuh]): ‘O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), come to a word that is just between us and you, that we worship none but Allâh, and that we associate no partners with Him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allâh.’ Then, if they turn away, say: ‘Bear witness that we are Muslims.’ " [The Noble Qur'an 3:64]
A Muslim is a person who submits to the will of One God ,The Lord,Owner cherisher of everything .As the Qur’an states ::
[All] praise is [due] to Allah , Lord of the worlds -
The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful,
Sovereign of the Day of Recompense.
Qur’an(1:2-4)
He is Allah , other than whom there is no deity, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed. He is the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
He is Allah , other than whom there is no deity, the Sovereign, the Pure, the Perfection, the Bestower of Faith, the Overseer, the Exalted in Might, the Compeller, the Superior. Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him.
He is Allah , the Creator, the Inventor, the Fashioner; to Him belong the best names. Whatever is in the heavens and earth is exalting Him. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. (Qur’an 59:22-24)
Often our base selves or the nafth al ‘ammara(the basic self having animalistic desires) hinders us from choosing the right way.It is often due to the false sense of pride that comes from within our own desires just like satan Iblees::
And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate before Adam"; so they prostrated, except for Iblees. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers.(Qur’an 2:34)
The very word Iblees has the root meaning one who is in despaired.
Shaytaan the arabic of satan comes from the root word shatan,which means one who is far,as in far from good and righteousness.
Also the root of shaytaan being in despair and far removed from mercy was his arrogance as mentioned in the Qur’an,the arrogance with which he spoke::
[ Allah ] said, O Iblees, what is [the matter] with you that you are not with those who prostrate?"
He said, "Never would I prostrate to a human whom You created out of clay from an altered black mud."(Qur’an15:32,33)
[ Allah ] said, "O Iblees, what prevented you from prostrating to that which I created with My hands? Were you arrogant [then], or were you [already] among the haughty?"
He said, "I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay."Qur’an(38:75,76)
Contrary to which when Adam(peace be upon him) disobeyed Allah,he repented,which reflected his humanity and fitra(purity),which made him a human::
And We said, "O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise and eat therefrom in [ease and] abundance from wherever you will. But do not approach this tree, lest you be among the wrongdoers."
But Satan caused them to slip out of it and removed them from that [condition] in which they had been. And We said, "Go down, [all of you], as enemies to one another, and you will have upon the earth a place of settlement and provision for a time."
Then Adam received from his Lord [some] words, and He accepted his repentance. Indeed, it is He who is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.
We said, "Go down from it, all of you. And when guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows My guidance - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve. ."
And those who disbelieve and deny Our signs - those will be companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally." Qur’an(2:35-39)
Thus in above verse we see that the fitra in Adam and Hawwa(Eve)(peace be upon them) made them feel repentant even though they didn’t know how to seek forgiveness so,Allah taught him and they said::
They said, "Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers."7:23)
So this base self is a hinderance ,which all of us should keep in control and not let it overpower us.
Guidance is Qur’an as mentioned in starting of second chapter of Qur’an as it exhorts us to look into it::
Alif, Lam, Meem.
This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah -
Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them,
And who believe in what has been revealed to you, [O Muْammad], and what was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith].
Those are upon [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. Quran(2:1-5)
According to Islam ‘every human being’ is born in a state of purity,as mentioned in the following hadith::
Narrated Abu- Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "No child is born except on Al-Fitra (Islam) and then his parents make him Jewish, Christian or Magian, as an animal produces a perfect young animal: do you see any part of its body amputated?" Then he recalled
'The religion of pure Islamic Faith (Hanifa),(i.e. to worship none but Allah), The pure Allah's Islamic nature with which He (Allah) has created mankind. Let There be no change in Allah's religion (i.e. to join none in Allah's worship). That is the straight religion; but most of men know not..." (30.30)
But as I mentioned earlier a few of our baser desire do act as hinderance for our guidance to that state of purity al fitra in which we all are born thus there exists a group as mentioned in Qur’an with a ‘disease’::
And of the people are some who say, "We believe in Allah and the Last Day," but they are not believers.
They [think to] deceive Allah and those who believe, but they deceive not except themselves and perceive [it] not.
In their hearts is disease, so Allah has increased their disease; and for them is a painful punishment because they [habitually] used to lie.
And when it is said to them, "Do not cause corruption on the earth," they say, "We are but reformers."
Unquestionably, it is they who are the corrupters, but they perceive [it] not.
And when it is said to them, "Believe as the people have believed," they say, "Should we believe as the foolish have believed?" Unquestionably, it is they who are the foolish, but they know [it] not. Qur’an(2:8-13)
This disease is very lethal for us humans,this is the disease of hypocrisy which stems from doubt,pride and arrogance.
So in order to be rightly guided we need to overcome these baser desires and let our hearts return to that pure state with which we were born.
Let us return to the purpose we were created for,the purpose as Allah states in the Qur’an ::
And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.(Qur’an 51:56)
May Allah guide us all to the straight path and may he bless us from the wisdom of Qur’an.And may I and you benefit from the verses and remeberance containing wisdom.
