Hey abdalilah

There are many reasons why i left christianity. Since i became a christian, i was always told not to question the doctrines of the christian religion. Even though there were many questions in the back of my head, i just put them aside.For i did not want to upset my Christian friends and teachers.Anyway i was never comfortable in church, With all the speaking in tongues(really creeps me out sometimes!) the laying of hands, the jumping around like a rock concert while Christian worship songs were played.

Firstly,I stumbled upon islamic videos by Ahmed deedat by accident, and also being exposed to the many different religions, thoughts of people around me.I realised i had to explore the other religions and keep an open mind.

Secondly,being interested about christian history ,i read about how christianity was mixed with the pagan religions of the roman empire(Mithras, horus, osiris, Sol invitus, Mother mary being called the queen of heaven, which was a title to a female pagan god, december 25th etc) The intergrity of how the bible was forumulated, 73 books in the Roman catholic bible and 66for the protestant bible(niv king james rsv etc)Why did God inspire 73 books for one book and 66 for the other? What gave the protestants the right to throw out 7 books from the Roman catholic bible? Isnt the bible infailible? Why were there so many contradictions between the teachings of paul and jesus, and errors in science in it?(the list really goes on)The weird verses about mass killings in the old testament, Human sacrifice in the bible (Judges 11)(You guys get the picture!)

I wondered, isnt the bible the perfect word of God?I also read about the killing of Arius, the founder on Arian Christianity,who went agaisnt trinitarian chirstianity.(correct me if im wrong) the killing of the scientist Gailleo,etc etc

Thirdly,Who gave an imperfect,human Pope the right to be called viceroy of God, Leader of Christianity?The crusades,the conquest of the new world , the spanish inquisitions, the many atrocities of what the vatican had done over the centuries.Why did God put the Church into imperfect human hands that shed so much blood?

Fourthly,witnessing how the christian tele evangelists exploited and cheated the common people of their hard earned money with the many lies of paradise or a greater reward.I felt that most churches today have become very commercialized.Also the rascism in churches, (black churches etc)

Lastly, i had a worker in my family( a muslim btw) who came from indonesia to work for my family.she is a wonderful honest person who had to leave her children and husband to earn money.Her husband passed away leaving her 2 children back in indonesia to fend for themselves while she works with my family.(When i close my eyes i can stil remember her crying)

I thought, why would an all loving God do such a thing to a good honest person?Not to mention she has a family to feed, being poor,Why is the world full of suffering? sadness? Why do the strong oppress the weak? Why is there so much bloodshed?Why would an all loving God throw us into hell for not being born into the wrong religion, born at the wrong place at the wrong time?And when i brought this question up to my christian elders,the answer i got was that all these suffering because of Adam's doing in the garden of eden(original sin)Hey Hey..... Isnt that unfair to us?

Yeah, that is my story, now im an agnostic.

Forgive me if i was too harsh, this is just my honest opinion.I dont want to offend any christians, i have many good christian friends in my life.Most of the christians that i know are wonderful people.

Forgive me if my posts is too long winded and jumbled up,It is just a rambling of my thoughts.

Anyway i recently bough an english version of the quran and am reading it now.Thank you very much for your time.

Very important thing to ponder you are right bro why all this.......but you cant understand its logic if u just focus on this life you need to broaden your thinking to understand the reason behind all this.....This life is like test and exam so its full of difficulties and if u come over all these difficulties you will passed the exam so this life is test and you will get your result after death .....without this logic of after life u cant understand this thing bro...Suffering sadness bloodsheed oppression poverty all this are gift of modern leader and politics so u cant say god is responsible fr all this he made his laws were no one shed blood of another no one oppress another no poverty if someone is poor we give money to bring him to our standard no bloodshed fr land color race but this all hapening cos people dont follow the law of god they prefer to follow man made law but still as muslims we belive its all Allah's way of testing us fr fifty sixty year may be bit more or less on basis of performance in it will get indefinite life which will never end and will be a better than utopian society.....I hope m able to clear your doubt
