Asslamo Allaikum Brother,

I like your BINARY picture...

Sunnah = 1
Bidah = 0

Decisions in life are often binary bro...Welcome!

Asslamo Allaikum Brother,

Please read “Boolean” instead of “Binary” in my comments & forgive me for making a technical error :-)

Asslamo Allaikum,

When I hover my mouse on it as kindly suggested by you...It tells me that its an AVAT"A"R…I can see why it is called that because of the connection with Hinduism….The definition of an Avatar in Hinduism is as follows:

In Hindu philosophy, an avatar, avatara or avataram (Sanskrit: अवतार, IAST: avatāra), most commonly refers to the incarnation (bodily manifestation) of a higher being (deva), or the Supreme Being (God) onto planet Earth.

I suppose because you can change your AVATAR (picture) it is similar to the Hindu belief that they can get reincarnated (AVATAR) as a different being/person/”g”od then what they currently are/were…

It is a highly complicated subject and being a Muslim who believes in the oneness of Allah(SWT) and no reincarnation; I lack the particular knowledge/experience to explain it fully; although others with more knowledge/information then me may attempt to do so

I wanted the Brothers/Sisters to think about the word and its usage particularly in context of us being Muslims & also point out the correct spelling on the way :-)

Jazakullah Khairun

Brother, I don't know about the "avator" of the hinduism, I was referring to the post of sister Zarah:
WeLcOmE to the website bro,seems like you have the same avator as me!:arabi1:
and that is the picture or avatar, and has to my understanding nothing to do with any words of their belief or that significance which you pointed out. It seems there was a misunderstanding there.
Or were you just trying to inform in form of a question about that issue?:confused:

wassalaam.

Asslamo Allaikum Brother,

The later...

As the usage of the word Avatar does have uncanny resemblance with the term “Avatar” in Hinduism (reincarnation as in you can change your picture [AVATAR]

Just like the usage of the word Guru does have uncanny resemblance with the term “Guru” in Hinduism (Guru as in your spiritual guide in Hinduism)

Ignore me Bro.
