Hello Brothers and Sisters :). I firstly would like to apologise for the overuse of 'smilies' and the way in which I will set out this message.

I am Stacey, a girl of 17 years old, born into a Christian family, but am non practicing. I have always had a great interest in the wonderful religion of Islam; and through this website, I hope to learn even more :)

I have always been confused about my own religion, I have never felt 100% connected to any one religion but over the past 1-2 years or so, I have been increasingly drawn towards the way of Islam.

I seek to find answers to my own questions, but would also like to help others in any which way I can :)

Insh'Allah.

Welcome to TTI stacey there are sooo many people here that can help you answer the questions you have in mind about Islam or any other religion actually, alot of the brothers and sisters here are very intelligent. what i would recommend is to speak to the sisters about their life as a dignified muslimaat (muslim woman),

and there are sooo many people who came into Islam from christianity that were confused as well but came to know the truth. If you need to ask me anything i'll be happy to answer but the best answers will come from the sisters they can relate more

And I pray that Allah SWT guides you
take care

one more thing i usually advise everyone who wants to learn about Islam to watch Shiekh Khalid Yasin, he was also Christian, he's very intellegent and helps people understand ISlam in a very good way, search for his lectures on youtube.com if you have time

Welcome to this forum stacey, hope you really benefit from this forum. It definitely benefited me :) And I cant believe you say Alhamdulillah, Salamu alaikkum and your not yet a muslim, hehe :p Inshallah may Allah guide, for Allah is the best of guidance. Please feel free to ask us any questions you have in mind, and I really recommend you watch this video ...

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=s8b3wNXEyPA

Its got 6 parts and it gets really interesting from the 4th part, but really today morning when i watched it, it bought tears to my eyes in front of all the people who were watching with me :$ The story kinda relates to your life, so I really think it will help you inshallah. He was Christian who like you did not feel 100% connected to God through his religion and his journey started from there, anyways I will let you watch it :)

If by any chance you have problems in college or sixth form, please do feel free to ask us, many of us including myself are still in the teens :) And Inshallah brothers or sisters maybe able to help you out :) (Yes I excessively use smilies as well :p)

Assalaam-o-alikum sister Stacey,

So nice to see your post. MashaAllah sister you are one of those lucky ones who Allah (SWT) has seleted to receive his good pleasure and his Jannah where they will live forever. One sign of this is that at such a young age when other girls think only about their nail polish or about who to choose as next date, you are reading Quran and thinking about the hereafter. Believe me sister... this is a great blessing from Allah (SWT).

So congratulations siter Stacey for achieving such blessings, and also welcome to TTI. You will find many revert sisters here who can help you in getting more and better understanding of Islam. And I am sure all the rest of us will love to help you in any way shape or form.

OsMan_93: Thankyou very much for both links, I found the first link very helpful and the second link, very insightful.

Thariq2005: I have friend who taught me of the words and now I find myself not being able to stop myself using them, surely that must be a sign within itself :). Thankyou for the link, and I shall watch that later :). And thankyou for the advice.

islam_best/nafesa: Thankyou both for the warm welcomes :)

Munawar: I feel honoured and priveleged to be chosen, I only hope I can do my best in his name, Insh'Allah. I am glad I am not like the majority of young girls in this country; life is not about alcohol, or smoking or drugs; Allah gave us this body, so we should glorify it and not do what is unnatural to it.

Allah's servent/zahrany: Again, thankyou :).

palestine: Why thankyou :) Now if only we had a blushing icon to insert here :P.

Abdul_Musa'ir: Such a wonderful extract :) But my parents would not be too appreciative of that :( If only they could see the way, Insh'Allah.

PS:
I was thinking whether to write a diary or not; on my day-to-day, week-to-week thoughts and feelings about Islam and my life in general, maybe it could prove useful to others? I am unsure about this.

And I like to thank everyone just to let them know that I have read their posts, and to let them know that my spirits have been truly lifted by read them; not once have I been so accepted into a community before :)
