Rasmalai hmmm

Hey everyone this next sweet dish is my favorite hmmmm, i cant get enough of it hehehe....:biggrin:

Once you try it youl love it :)

Rasmalai

Ingredients:
1 cup powdered milk
1 egg
1 tsp oil
1/4 tsp baking powder

Syrup:
1 liter milk
6 tbs sugar
Seeds of 1 small illaichi
1 tbs chopped pista
1/2 tsp kevera essence

Method:
Mix together the ingredients into a dough and form into small oval,slightly flattened balls.

Meanwhile boil the milk with sugar and illaichi seeds.

When the milk starts to boil add the malai balls.

When they start to swell up lower the heat and cook for 10 minutes.

Just before removing from heat add kevera essence.Garnish with pista.

Serving Suggestions: Serve Chilled ;)

Done!

Very easy to make and is a tasty dish indeed....ENJOY :)

The bad part is I get to have it only back home coz here, there are almost no asian muslim restaurants. And I dont want to eat in the restaurants of the kuffars. So no rasmalais for me.

-e- (Inserted in written persian) but not pronounced in Urdu

So it was a romantic thing i.e. My Rose! You are the honur of my heart

& we have killed the romantic concept by devouring it as a sweet-dish & developing diabetes afterwards. :)

Muslims in India lost over 800 years of rule when they indulged in Food/Music/Poetry/Dancing.

You will find that most Asian food names are after some romantic concept, sadly!

I just looked at the recipe... I'm from Bangladesh... but we make it a different way i think, my mother made it when i was small..... oh well, I'm sure it tastes just as good!!

Hey Bangladesh has some awesome Sweet Shops!! I'm sooo serious. I am in love with them. My uncles brought boxes of sweets and they got abducted too!!! how mysterious!!

By the way, forgot to mention. This sweet is called "Rosh O' Golla" in BD.

MEANING.... wait for it... "Rosh" = Juice "Golla" = Circleish Gol = Circle hmmm...

so a juicy circle? or actually the "o" can mean "and" too... so maybe Juice and circle? lol, i've never really thought of it like that. sheesh. Allah knows Best!!
