Assalam (peace be with you) you came to the right place to seek info about what might seem to you at first ambiguous or difficult. Islam in its essence is a universal humane message to mankind. It's no different than the old or new testament. Except that it is the third and final testament to the whole world. God has spoken since the death of Jesus Christ. And it is our duty to listen, read the holy Quran and learn from its message.
No human-being can convince another to see the truth. Only God can do it. So, I welcome you and give you some space to figure things for yourself. However, if you have the slightest question, do not hesitate to ask. I, with the multitude of brothers and sisters in here, will do everything possible to help you in your quest.

Assalmoelaikoem warhamatullahi wbarakatoh dear brothers and sister,
Welcome Lychee, May Allah open your heart to revert soon. I ask Allah subhanahu wata3ala to increase your knowledge about islam.
and to my dear brother Tahar you have to know that there are big differences between the old and new testament and the Quraan. The tawra is send to moesa ( mozes) and the indjiel ( bible) to Isa ( jesus) from our Lord, but now they are not the original. Some statements are deleted and changed.
Allah says: "Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands and then say, "This is from Allah", to purchase with it a little price! Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for that they earn thereby.}" [2:79]
The Quraan will never change, because Allah subhanahu wata3ala is The One who will keep it reserved, the Quraan will never altered.
Allah says: "Verily, We, it is We, Who have Sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Qur'an) and surely, We will guard it (from corruption)."[15: 9]

They said Allah has a son. Allah subhanahu wata3ala don't have a son. Isa ( Jesus) is only a messenger from Allah and a human being.
Allah says: {And there is none of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), but must believe in him ['Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), as only a Messenger of Allâh and a human being], before his ['Isa (Jesus) or a Jew's or a Christian's] death (at the time of the appearance of the angel of death). And on the Day of Resurrection, he ['Isa (Jesus)] will be a witness against them.} [4:159].
Allah says also: "And Allah will teach him the Book and Wisdom, The Torah and the Gospel., And appoint him A Messenger to the children of Israel ..etc.} [3:48].
They say trinity and Allah says: " Don't say trinity"
Allah says: " {Surely, disbelievers are those who said: "Allah is the third of the three (in a Trinity)". But there is no Ilah (god) (none who has the right to be worshipped) but One Ilah (God-Allah). …..} [5:73]
Some of them say Isa ( jesus) is God. Allah denied this. He says: {Surely, they have disbelieved who say: "Allah is the Messiah [Isa (Jesus)], son of Maryam (Mary)". …} [5:72]
Dear brother this are big differences. This are differences in Tawheed, so big differences.
If i have made a mistake, please correct me.

Peace be on You!
You are at the right place and I pray to ALLAH to open up ur heart and to help u come to the right path.
My advice to u is to get a copy of Quran and read it.
In Quran ALLAH says
"This is the book which has no doubt in it and it has guidance for the people who fear ALLAH".(2:2)
