i am so sorry that i didnt get to explain how i came to islam. You see, i live here in oklahoma in the usa! when a muslim girl got suspended for wearing her hijab, i became very interested in Islam1 so i reasearched it for 2 onths and was soon convinced tha this was the true religion! so i said shahadah on july 5, 2006. and now im a muslimah! i told my parents(that was a big mistake!) they forbade me to practice Islam, so unfortunately i havent been ableto pray or fast for Ramadhan, but im am using this wonderful website at school to gain knowledge about Islam an chat with my bros and sis! im not really sure what i should do aboutnot being ae to pray so if you can come up with a solution, please help. i miss being able to read the quran and praying. i have to read the quran in my closet, but im almost finished with Surah 4-al-nisa! may Allah forgive me for not praying and fasting!:blackhijab: :laughing-dancing: :dishes:

Salaams
My son is 7 years old and he often watches the news with my dad then says "Mummy the Americans are bad they are killing our muslims." My answer is very often that the government makes people do what they don't want to do, but not everyone is the same. I often tell him there are many muslims in the USA. He is slowly becoming more aware.
The future of the USA lies in the hands of people like you - you can educate people and help destroy the stigma attached to being Muslim.
Perform your salaat in your closet or a locked room.
May Allah give you the stregth to overcome all the obstacles in your path.
I was born muslim, but it is people like you who make me realise what a precious gift i have which i often take for granted.
Your sister in Islam

Assalamualaikum to all...:) My name is Azlina.. I'm from Singapore.. My race is Malay.. Basically, Singapore is a multi-racial society.. The 4 main races would be Chinese, Indian, Malay & Eurasian... Here in Singapore, the Malay community are generally Muslims.. Besides having Malay Muslim, we do have Indian Muslim, Chinese Muslim, etc.. Alhamdullilah, Singapore practices racial harmony to establish as one united people regardless of race, language or religion..

Assalam sister from Oklahoma,
I was very happy to hear about your coming in islam. About praying I would suggest when you are alone pray to God so you can you do your prayers, and pray to Him to make it easier for you praying. Allah teala listen to all the prayers. He has His wonderfull ways to make things happen, and insha-allah you will be able to perform your prayers soon, and insha-Allah we will pray for you too. Wellcome and insha-allah eveything goes smoother for you.
Fe aman Allah
