Compared to other countries in Latin America with sizeable Muslim communities, Mexico's Muslim population is tiny.

In southern Mexico, the indigenous Mayan population is a minority.

But another minority is being created within that group, as more and more Mayans convert from Catholicism.

I am even more glad I am from Mexico and i know it is hard to become a muslim no one here seems to support it. they see muslim and they think terrorist I love my country because the people are so noble intheir feeling but they need to open their eyes to somethign they want to believe in not in what someone else told them to do, as many of you might now catholicism and cristianism where imposed to the mexican people
