Very, very nice. But there isn't a real point in doing it (in one breath), is there?

Brother , This is not the longest recitation, infact evenb I have heared recitations of more time , e.g

Surah Fatiha and start of Surah Baqira of QARI MU,AMAR of Indonesia, is more than 1 minute

Surah Infitar of Sheikh ANtar is also of about 1 minute and 16 seconds ..

Also a very good recitation of Ayatulkursi from Mishari Rashid is of about 57 seconds and many more.

Nope there is not. And it is not something that is taught by all the Quranic Scholars. I happened to spend a bit of time studying with a Shaykh who has Isnaad (or chain of narration) going back to the Prophet :saw: . He never taught to do this. and im not sure there is sound evidence for it either.

OR for when they put their hand over their ears and on their face etc.....like this man does in the video..

yeah the Qari's name is Saddaqat Ali as it says up on da video "Longest Recitation of Quran ( by: Qari Saddaqata Ali )
