I don't think any of us have been good practising* muslims all our lives... most of us just went through a stage where we didn't know Allah (in His Names and Attributes) nor did we worship Him (except because of our parents or tradition).

And Allah Guides whom He wills... and All praises are due to Him. Who guided us to the Straight Path.

"O our Lord! Do not allow our hearts to deviate from the Truth (Islam) after You have guided us- verily you are Al- Wahhab (the Bestower)!"

*Practising= To fufil all the obligations of Islam and avoid all the major prohibitions.
