Assalamu Alaikum :)

I just found this site today while looking for some videos.

My name is Lauren and I am 17. I have not taken my shahadah as of yet, but I have told my parents about my decision. I plan on taking my shahadah soon. I was raised in a Mormon household so needless to say they were not pleased about my decision. lol My father is also in the military so I got the double whammy. As for now we are trying to coexist peacefully, but I am not allowed to wear hijab. I am starting training to become a medical assistant soon and will finish my degree in 10 months or so. InshaAllah my parents' hearts will soften to let me wear hijab.

I look forward to learning from you guys :)
