Though n. 7 has another answer which contains the word " swore" :

It was said by the Satan to prophet Adam and his wife.

(2) And he (Shaitan (Satan)) swore by Allah to them both (saying): "Verily, I am one of the sincere wellwishers for you both."

The pagan of quiz 18 is Al-Waleed ibn Al-Mugheera, Khalid's father, per what I've read. I kind of think that God left out his name as a way to spare Khalid, whom God knew will become a good Muslim, the embarassment and shame of having such a father!

Sorry about the duplication of quiz numbers, brother Mohsin. When I posted mine, your post was not yet published! As you know this forum is moderated, so posts are not published until the moderators approve them. Moderators are human, may God bless ours, and can be too busy sometimes to view posts waiting for approval.

If you haven't done so already, you can edit your post and rename your quizes. It is too late for me to edit mine because they have already been answered by you! Good job.

56. "I wasted a lot of money."

57. "If we had any control we would not have been killed here."

58. "Set up a god for us like they have gods."

59. "I do not say to you that I have the treasuries of God, know the unseen or that I am an angel."

60. "Lord, make this town safe and shield me and my children from worshipping idols."

61. "I got distracted by my love of horses until the sun hid behind the horizon."

Some of your quotations are tough for me this time, brother. However, I'll try.

56- I think this is the disbelieving man mentioned in Surat Al KAHF. There is another one mentioned in Surat Al- Balad : " He may say (boastfully); Wealth have I squandered in abundance! " Idon't really know to whom does this verse refer.

57- The hypocrites of Al- Madina during one of the prophet's battles. I'm sorry, I don't remember which one! I'm not good at remembering names .

58- Bani Israel to prophet Moses when they fled to Sinai.

59- Sure that is a prophet, LOL!!, but, I don't remember which one, maybe, prophet Muhammed peace be upon him.

70- That's prophet Abraham and the town is Makkah.

80- That is prophet Solomon. Do you know the explanation of the next verse in which he ordered the horses to be coming back to him. Had he really killed them all??? Sheikh Sharawy sees something else. Have you got any idea because each time I read those verses I feel so sorry for the horses.

59. I think it has been said by two Prophets namely,

Nuh (AS) in Surah Hud and

Mohammad SAW in Surah Al-An'aam ( Its been ordered to him to say so )

It's the one in Surat-ul-Balad (90:6). It is said by man in general. (90:4)

57- The hypocrites of Al- Madina during one of the prophet's battles. I'm sorry, I don't remember which one! I'm not good at remembering names .

It was actually a group of Muslims who were shaken by the sudden turn around of the battle of Uhud after a small group of Muslims disobeyed the prophet and left their guard position to collect booty. (3:154) God says in 3:155 that He pardoned them but warned them and all believers of repeating these words again because it's the behavior of the disbelievers. (3:156)

58- Bani Israel to prophet Moses when they fled to Sinai.

59- Sure that is a prophet, LOL!!, but, I don't remember which one, maybe, prophet Muhammed peace be upon him.

Right and as brother Mohsin noted, 59 was also said by Noah.

Right. It's in 38:33. According to Ibn Katheer, that was the majority interpretation. I read somewhere else, but can't remember where, that when Solomon got back the horses and started rubbing their legs and necks, the sun reappeared and he was able to pray the afternoon (`Asr) prayer which he though he missed. There is really no reliable interpreation of what happened.

I'm taking the liberty of renumbering your questions because they are off by one :)

62. " I have nothing to do with you, I see that which you can not see, I am afraid of God, and God is severe in punishment."

Satan! He said that to the enemy of Muslims on the battlefield after he had propmised to support them, 8:48. If Satan fears God, shouldn't we?

63. "Be not distressed, indeed God is with us."

The prophet peace be upon him to Abu-Bakr, may God have been pleased with him while in the cave of Thawr on their migration road to Medina, 9:40. These are words of wisdom and faith that can console and strengthen any of us at the time of difficulty.

64. "God forbid! This cannot be a human......."

The women whom Zulaykha, wife of the Egyptian nobleman invited to her house to show Joseph to them! 12:31 They thought he was too good looking to be human and must have been an angel!

65. "We shall kill their sons and spare their women....."

Pharoah to his chiefs, about the Hebrews, 7:127.

66. "Yet, I don't claim myself to be innocent, indeed the baser self incites to evil......"

Zulaykha again after the truth has been revealed about the innocense of Joseph, 12:53.

Thank you, brother Mohsen for this addition. However, I think the most common interpretation thinks it was Zulaykha who said that because Joseph didn't do anything wrong with her, he was completely innocent from the very beginning.

I think this is the disbelieving man mentioned in Surat Al-Kahf (the Cave) whom Allah grantd him two fruitful gardens and caused a river to flow through them.

Yet, his richness and arrogance made him think the Hour won't be coming. He was saying that to his believing fellow conversing with him. As a result of his ungratfulness, Allah destroyed his gardens and made him taste the bitterness of loss and regret.
May Allah protect us from ignorance and arrogance.

Right! Can you believe the nerve of Pharaoh, calling Moses peace be upon him lowly? Well, Moses is now honored by the world's top religions followed by half the world and Pharaoh is available for anyone to see his corpse well preserved in the Egyptian museum (El-Antiquekhana) in Cairo. Even his name is not known with certainty. The Jews believe it was Ramses. Egyptologists and archeologists say it was Menfetaah.

LoL ! .... Bro I dont like Zero

Did you know that the zero was invented by a Muslim? His name was Jamsheed ibn Mahmood ibn Mas`ood. He is the inventor of Arabic numerals which most of the world now uses. His idea for the design of these numerals was absolutely brilliant. He thought he'd design numerals which had a number of angles equal to the number they represent! So "1", the way he designed it, had one angle at its top, "2" had two angles, one at the top and one at the bottom and so on. Now, get this...Zero is a circle thus it has no angles!! True genius!

81. Bani Israel to Musa (AS)

83. Salih (AS) to his people Thamud about the she-camel that they asked for as a miracle.

84. Sarah (RA), the wife of Ibrahim (AS), when she was given the glad tidings of Ishaaq (AS) by the angels who visited Ibrahim (AS) before the destrucction of Sodom and Gomorrah .

85. Musa (AS) to his boy servant while he went looking for Khidr.

86. People of Hell, when they will be asked by Allah SWT that how long did they live.

Really the next ayat is an eye opener,

He (Allâh) will say: "What number of years did you stay on earth?" (112) They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep account." (113)He (Allâh) will say: "You stayed not but a little, if you had only known! (114) "Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us?" (115)

Isn't it very interesting that God immediately answered Moses' prayer? He sent back one of the two daughters to invite Moses to their house and meet their father, prophet Shu`ayb peace be upon him. Good ones, brother Hussain. I'll answer the first one.

90) And the dwellers in the wood, the folk of Tubba; everyone denied their messengers

This verse is in Surat Qaf, verse 14, chapter 50

4) وَأَصْحَابُ الْأَيْكَةِ وَقَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ كُلٌّ كَذَّبَ الرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ

Surat Qaf is one of the strongest Surahs in the Holy Qur'an.

Which people does this verses refer to and why?

94) "It is not for me to change it on my own accord”

95) “Do you inform Allah of that which He knows not in the heavens and on the earth”

96) "Allah is more Swift in planning!"

97) "For me are my deeds and for you are your deeds! You are innocent of what I do, and I am innocent of what you do!"

98) "Tell me, what provision Allah has sent down to you! And you have made of it lawful and unlawful."

99) "Act according to your ability and way, We are acting (in our way).”

First, I really wanna thank you, dear sister Aisha for posting these good questions. :ma:

Let me try with some of them:

94) "It is not for me to change it on my own accord”

This verse is in Surat Yunus, 10:15

15 And when Our Clear Verses are recited unto them, those who hope not for their meeting with Us, say: Bring us a Quran other than this, or change it."Say (O Muhammad SAW): "It is not for me to change it on my own accord; I only follow that which is revealed unto me. Verily, I fear if I were to disobey my Lord, the torment of the Great Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)."

It refers to Prophet Muhammad pbuh. ordered by Allah to reply to the disbelievers who asked him to change the Holy Qur'an as if he was the one who composed it, not Allah SWT.

95) “Do you inform Allah of that which He knows not in the heavens and on the earth”

This verse also is from Surat Yunus 10:18

And they worship besides Allah things that hurt them not, nor profit them, and they say: "These are our intercessors with Allah." Say: "Do you inform Allah of that which He knows not in the heavens and on the earth?" Glorified and Exalted be He above all that which they associate as partners with Him!

It also refers to the disbelievers of Quraish when they said that they worshiped idols just to be their intercessors with Allah!

96) 10:21. Said to people who make light of God's signs after they have been relieved of an affliction! Imagine that, instead of being thankful. :SMILY286:

97) 10:41. Said to the prophet to say to those who call him a liar.

98) 10:59. Said to the pagans of Mecca who invented their own rules about which livestock can be slaughtered for food and which cannot.

99) 11:121. Said to those who do not believe.

i will ask easy questions i hope u can solve them

What is the name of the (soura)?
1-u find the name of Allah at each (ayah) of it.
2-each ayah ended with the letter seen (with Arabic س)
3-ended with names of two prophets.

so i want 3 names

thats enough.

I can't think of any! Closest is An-Nasr (110), but the last verse mentions "Rabbika" (your Lord).

2-each ayah ended with the letter seen (with Arabic س)

An-Naas (114). In fact each verse ends in "Naas!"

3-ended with names of two prophets.

Al-A`laa (87). The two prophets are Abraham and Moses, peace be upon them.

The water of Egypt....? :) Maybe!!

The water of Egypt is so sweet, it is a great blessing from Allah SWT.

Alhamdulillah, Egypt is a very good and blessed land, it is mentioned many times in the Holy Qur'an.
The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, " You would soon conquer Egypt and that is a land which is known (as the land of al-qirat). So when you conquer it, treat its inhabitants well. For there lies upon you the responsibility because of blood-tie or relationship of marriage (with them). (Book #031, Hadith #6174)

Thank you, brother Mohsin, but I think it's been a long time since you posted some quizzes, so I think it's your turn now.:)

Well when my beloved Muhammad :saw: said to treat the Egptians well then how can I ignore. So here is a quiz.

Who is quoted as saying this in the Quran and to whom ?

1. Why do you annoy me while you know certainly that I am the Messenger of Allâh to you?

2. Verily, we are free from you and whatever you worship besides Allâh, we have rejected you, and there has started between us and you, hostility and hatred for ever, until you believe in Allâh Alone.

3. Shall we feed those whom, if Allâh willed, He (Himself) would have fed?

4. I did it then, when I was an ignorant

5. Verily, you know that these signs have been sent down by none but the Lord of the heavens and the earth

3- This was said by those who disbelieve to those who believe, this verse is in surat Yaseen, 47.
4- Said by Prophet Moses, peace be upon him, to Pharaoh when he asked him about the man that Moses killed and fled away from Egypt to Madien.

And (remember) when the disbelievers plotted against you (O Muhammad SAW) to imprison you, or to kill you, or to get you out (from your home, i.e. Makkah); they were plotting and Allâh too was planning, and Allâh is the Best of the planners.

108: It was said to the Aziz of Egypt by his wife that Prophet Yusuf [as] wanted to seduce her.

And they raced to the door and she tore his shirt from hinder, and they came upon her master at the door. She said, "What is the recompense of whoever wanted with your family ill, but that he is imprisoned or painful torment?"
