:salam2: I know a lot of people call SALAH namaz. But our prophet called it salah so i would say pease people stop calling it namaz.

Namaz is in Turkish/Persian/Urdu

Salah is in Arabic

Prayer is in English

Since the brother was from Turkey who posted the orignal message, he used the word namaz. I think that does not make a big difference, its just language (though it might be preferable to use word salah)

:salam2: Dear brother i know salah is used also in most of central asia. But in the Holy Quran it is SALAH and not namaz. And that is from Allah Tala. There is nothing wrong in correcting ourselves.

Salam Brothers and sisters,

Allah made people using different colours of soil from all four corners of the earth and Prophet Adam was taught many different languages hence why we all use different words to describe the same thing.

Lets not make a big thing about the word "Namaz" as from the moment you read the original post you understood the word meant "Prayer" or "Salah".

It is not about correcting people its about the languages that they have grown up knowing and speaking, remember not many Muslims can speak Arabic.

Salam alai kum
