I'm not familiar with all the differences between Shia, Kurds, Sunni..etc. I do know that they are all muslims and practice islam (am I mistaken?) Anyways. I read everyday how the Shia dislike the Sunnis, the Sunnis dislike the Shia, they all dislike the Kurds...etc. Why is this? I don't pretend to know the answer. Since I am once again on the outside looking in, my opinion is that they are kiliing each other because they believe something different that their own beliefs, is this true? If so isn't that a bit weird?

The reason why I ask this is because i've heard from time to time that muslims abhor the killing of other muslims. Then I hear about the clashes between these (i'm sure there's more) groups.

The Kurds are a nationality. Not a sect.
