It seems like yesterday that I felt your feet kick inside of me
Today those same feet are walking out the door

It seems like yesterday that I felt your warm kiss against my cheek,
Today trails of tears flow down my cheeks

It seems like yesterday that you spoke your first word
Today all you are saying is goodbye

It seems like yesterday I saw you off to your first day at school
Today I am seeing you off to your new life

It seems now , as if my life is empty
But surely Allah is always with me!
